Historic Neighbourhood Walks - Bangkok 2020

Let's join to do walks in the Historic Neighbourhoods of Bangkok! Your part is to join a small sub-team, to plan a 3-4 hour walking tour for the others. Each tour includes a rest stop and place for quick lunch (optional) afterwards. This activity is planned to meet once a week for 6 consecutives Tuesdays and you are required to attend all of them. Since we have almost covered all Barrett's "22 Walks in Bangkok" book... we are proposing new and exciting routes thanks to the extended public transport lines!

Yes! we know you can do it on you own... but how much more fun is it to share and explore together?!! In the orientation day we will create teams and decide areas to be visited which can be chosen from the ones we will be proposing or any one you might have in mind.

Excursions: Discovering Phra Khanong - its klongs and its temples

Let us take you on a trip back to the past while cruising the Phra Khanong kh/ong ( canal) along a Buddhist & Muslim Neighbourhood barely known by farangs, where life happens surrounded by emerging tall buildings yet keeping its essence amist nature and a peaceful serene landscape. Temples and mosques can be seen along the way but we will stop just in a couple of them, names not to be revealed yet! not a hint so we do not spoil the location and the fun! We can share though that the end will be in the middle of a buzzling market!!
